Harvest season and the holidays inspire creative cocktail recipes. For example, at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak Houses, holiday cocktails incorporate the flavors of apple cider, pumpkin puree, eggnog and peppermint. Seasonal martini variations include Pumpkin Spiced Latte-Tinis, Chocolate Eggnog Martinis, White Chocolate Candy Cane Martinis and Chocolate Candy Cane Martinis. The cinnamon-apple flavored Movember Mule is an autumn spin on the classic Moscow Mule. It’s made with cinnamon whiskey, apple cider and ginger beer, served in a copper mug.

Autumn drinks at Rogue Island Local Kitchen & Bar in Providence, RI, include the Bajan Snowfall made with rum. The cocktail features the flavor notes of orange, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and saffron simple syrup. Bartender Lauren Egen characterizes the combo as “a holiday in a glass.”  At the Engine Room in Mystic, CT, the Lovey Dovey cocktail combines the flavors of rum, grapefruit liqueur, lime juice and brown sugar-cinnamon syrup. The drink is garnished with a cinnamon stick.
