Take a look at that face! It's the future of mixology. Yeah, we know… that's a fancy-ass moniker for bartending, but Camber Lay (that's her name, and what a name!) is no ordinary bartender. Who wouldn't want to confess their sins or seek advice from Camber? But you could do that with any bartender. The difference here is that you'll be sipping an amazing drink she made for you while you spill your guts. Who says there's no God?
Camber represents a new generation of young mixologists who use mucho imagination and the best ingredients to take mixed spirits to the next level. She currently practices her craft at Quiver Bar at Epic Roasthouse, perched above San Francisco Bay.
Epic is the brainchild of the legendary Pat Kuleto, who hired the equally legendary chef Jan Birnbaum to prepare the eats. Clearly this is no place for slouches. Enter Camber Lay, a snowboarder from Colorado, who found her way to Epic after first offering cocktailing advice to highly regarded S.F. restaurants Frisson, Range and Laiola. So good is she, the San Francisco Chronicle recently named her a Rising Star Mixologist.
