Southern dining options continue to abound as compelling concepts stretching from Texas to South Florida opened their doors over the past month or so. The new options are a diverse bunch, ranging from upscale Italian to steaks, seafood and modern Israeli cuisine.
Chef Tim Love’s Fort Worth dominance is still going strong, as he has followed up a Tex-Mex opening earlier this year with Caterina’s, a white-tablecloth Italian restaurant with pasta, veal chops and a no-phones policy. A few hours north, Culprits is serving three meals a day in the Renaissance hotel with a menu of breakfast favorites, sushi and steaks. And over in Nashville, Sean Brock’s long-awaited June has finally opened, complete with a 20-course tasting menu.
Moving southeast, the Ashford is a friendly neighborhood spot located just outside Atlanta, with a menu focused on seasonal shared plates. And Miami just welcomed two new restaurants: The modern Israeli spot Neya and the much-anticipated waterfront behemoth, Bayshore Club.
