Despite murky regulations, restaurants continue to embrace the trend

It remains unclear whether the Food and Drug Administration will give the okay for cannabidiol, or CBD, to be offered on restaurant menus. Officials are exploring a potential pathway for it to be marketed legally, but regulations will likely take time, leaving state and local health departments to determine restaurant and bar use.

Some restaurant operators, meanwhile, are embracing the trend. Here are four new or existing concepts that are adding CBD options to the menu.
