Yield: 1 serving.

9 oz. hamburger patty, seasoned
with kosher salt and black pepper
1 hamburger bun, toasted and
lightly buttered
1 egg
1 tsp. clarified butter
to taste, salt and ground white pepper

Season hamburger patty with kosher salt and black pepper. Cook to desired temperature; toast and lightly butter bun.

Heat nonstick pan on low heat and add 1 tsp. clarified butter. Break egg into pan and sprinkle with salt and white pepper. gently saute egg, sunny-side up, until done.

Place cooked egg on top of hamburger and place hamburger on bottom half of bun. Arrange top bun on egg and serve with Roma tomatoes, red onion and cornichons.
