July 29, 2009
The manager of a fast-food joint in Baytown, TX, was punked by a caller who tricked him into pulling a lever that soaked the eatery with fire suppression foam. The caller said he was from the fire department and told the Arby’s general manager that he had to pull the lever to test the fire suppression equipment. When the manager first pull on the lever, it did not work, so the prankster instructed him to pull it a second time, prompting the foam to spray from the ceiling.
Only employees of the restaurant were in the building at the time and they evacuated. The restaurant was shut down for several hours for cleanup. According to local police, several area businesses have received similar calls.
