Cat Cora’s days as an Iron Chef without a restaurant are over. Bon Appetit’s executive chef just opened Kouzzina at Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk Inn in Orlando.
Cora says Kouzzina (“kitchen” in English), which is owned and operated by Disney, showcases Mediterranean and Greek, including “time-honored recipes passed down from my ancestors, as well as my favorite Greek and Mediterranean dishes that my family loves.”
Breakfasts at the upscale family resort stick to the basics, with a few Mediterranean touches here and there, but lunch and dinner choices fall squarely within traditional Greek lines. Featuring an open kitchen, the interior is accented with family photos. Cora’s books are offered for sale.
This isn’t Cora’s first gig with Disney. Last year she was tapped to create a video series covering healthier eating habits for families, and she has been a featured chef at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and at Disney’s California Food & Wine Festival in Anaheim.
