Playing The Angles You're known for a signature restaurant with original Picassos at the stunning Bellagio. How can you make your new place at the hotel almost next door feel approachable? That's the puzzle Spanish design firm Gente de Valor solved for Julian Serrano, whose namesake casual restaurant inside the Aria Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas opened earlier this year. The firm went with a colorful and energetic design scheme that provides a sense of whimsy, even though there's serious eating to be had at this 217-seat tapas-themed restaurant. The idea was to draw guests in with a look that suggests Spain's airy courtyard lifestyle. Which it does, even though Julian Serrano is located just steps away from Aria's busy front desk.
