The former manager of an Old Country Buffet in Coralville, Iowa, is accused of gambling away $20,000 of the restaurant’s money. Andrew Vemia, who was a manager of the restaurant, took the money, which was to be deposited.

Police say he used the money to gamble at a nearby casino with the idea that he would keep what he won and deposit the original $20,000 in the bank. One big problem with that: Vemia lost it all. He is charged with first-degree theft.
