Slutty Vegan — the vegan burger restaurant from Pinky Cole has named Jason Crain its first president, the company announced on Tuesday.
Crain has been serving as Slutty Vegan’s chief revenue officer since 2020 and led the company’s recent Series A funding round for $25 million, which resulted in the brand’s $100 million valuation in May 2022.
“I’m so excited to promote Jason to president of Slutty Vegan,” said Cole in a statement. “Since 2020, Jason has been an asset to the company through his implementation of our CPG Retail Division, negotiating our $25 million Series A round and the hiring of our C-suite executive team, just to name a few. I’m confident that Jason will continue to elevate the Slutty brand with his brilliance in business, and I know for sure that Jason will work his hardest to make our organization a billion-dollar brand.”
Prior to joining Slutty Vegan, Crain was an entrepreneur in residence at Amazon, where he built visual search and augmented reality products. Before that, he was the co-founder and COO of visual search and machine learning startup Partpic, Inc., held various leadership roles at Shazam, and spent his early career working as an account manager for Google.
Slutty Vegan, based in Atlanta, has five locations with three in the works, including the company’s first entrance into New York City. It was named a Nation’s Restaurant News Hot Concept in 2021.
