All across the South, restaurants are popping up in major cities and small towns alike, including Atlanta, Austin, Houston, and more.

One restaurant opening that has diners buzzing is Marcus Bar & Grille from chef Marcus Samuelsson. The New York City-based chef has brought his award-winning cooking and star personality to Atlanta, where he’s serving Southern favorites with fine-dining twists at his newly opened restaurant.

In Austin, power hospitality group Emmer & Rye keeps turning out hits with the highly anticipated Mediterranean restaurant, Ezov. In Houston, Christine Ha gives The Blind Goat new life in a larger location with an expanded menu.

Oklahoma City’s Provisions Concepts recently opened the doors to Riserva, a tapas bar focused on shared plates and cocktails. And in Shelbyville, Nearest Green Distillery just upgraded its offerings with Humble Baron, a restaurant and music venue that is drawing crowds as the site of the world’s longest bar.
