Atlas Restaurant Group this month announced its newest concept, Nine Tailed Fox, which will open in the group’s home city of Baltimore in spring 2025.

The company said that the restaurant’s name draws inspiration from Chinese mythology and “reflects both the restaurant’s cultural roots and its contemporary culinary vision.”

Executive chef Jeffrey Mei will run the kitchen at Nine Tailed Fox. Mei, who is originally from China, has led restaurant kitchens at Benny Chows, ONE Dim Sum, and Yauatcha, all of which are in Houston.

In August this year, Atlas Restaurant Group was highlighted as one of the 125 biggest restaurant groups in America, according to Technomic data. As of the end of 2023, the group, which was founded in 2010, had 50 total restaurants ranging from fine dining to fast casual in Maryland, Florida, Texas, and Pennsylvania.

Last year, the group added a loyalty program and subscription service.

Nine Tailed Fox will be designed by Patrick Sutton, who will bring in modern elegance and traditional Chinese design elements, according to the company. He has also designed other concepts for Atlas.
