Restaurant Hospitality executive food editor Gail Bellamy, PhD, CCP is an award-winning journalist with a PhD in Creative Writing and five published books to her credit. She has received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, The Press Club, The American Society of Business Press Editors and Women in Communications. Gail is currently serving her third term on the board of the International Foodservice Editorial Council, is a past-president, and recipient of its Betty Bastion Award for Outstanding Service. She earned her Certified Culinary Professional status through the International Association of Culinary Professionals. In 2010 she was awarded a Creative Workforce Fellowship in Literature for her poetry, which has appeared in more than 80 publications. Her books include Cleveland Food Memories, Victual Reality and Traveler’s Salad (poetry), Design Spirits (bar and nightclub design) and The Vegetable Storybook, co-authored with Vicki Draeger and illustrated by syndicated cartoonist Jenny Campbell. The book won a 2010 “Best in the U.S./Illustrations” Gourmand World Cookbook Award. Gail has also contributed to eight other books, including The Wall Street Journal Guides to Business Travel in the U.S. and Canada. She hosted a food radio program, “Dinner Plans with Gail Bellamy,” heard on WELW-AM in Cleveland and elsewhere, hosted the Restaurant Hospitality podcast “Food + Flicks,” and appeared in The Food Network special series, “Titans of Taste: Supermarket Sensations.”
