Picnic, Provisions & Whiskey, a new concept from a trio of veteran New Orleans culinary types, opened in September.

The relaxed neighborhood restaurant offers up comfort food with special treatment. The chicken salad, for instance, is made with heritage chicken, spiced pecans, whiskey pickled grapes and griddled steamed brioche for $10. Diners can go for a lighter option served on lettuce.
