Meet the newest virtual restaurant brands available for delivery only

From a multiconcept food hall to a ghost cocktail bar and lots of classic comfort food outlets, these concepts are growing without the need for brick-and-mortar locations

The virtual restaurant brands keep coming and they seemingly won’t stop.

This month we’re seeing a move toward Southern foods (think barbecue smoked meat and biscuits) and pizza.

Among the newest players is a new food hall in Irving, Texas, that uses the Toyota Music Factory’s kitchens to host multiple brands, including a wing concept, a pizza concept and a Southern comfort food concept.

In Los Angeles, a high-end virtual steak experience offering white glove service opened, as well as three concepts from The Rooftop Lounge, ranging from Japanese cuisine to American comfort food.

And in New York, a ghost bar is offering individualized cocktails served in clear bottles and pre-mixed for anyone missing that bespoke cocktail experience at home. There’s also a new virtual brand from the TAO Hospitality Group focusing on homestyle Italian food.

Just down the coast in Philadelphia, Chef Jose Garces opened two new virtual brands this week — a Peruvian chicken concept and a vegan brand named for his own vegan daughter.
