Wild Eggs, a breakfast, brunch, and lunch destination with locations in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, has acquired St. Louis-based Crazy Bowls & Wraps. As part of the deal, a Wild Eggs location in its hometown market of Louisville, Ky., will transform into a Crazy Bowls & Wraps virtual kitchen from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., using third-party delivery partners for pick-up and delivery orders only. During those hours, customers can order bowls, wraps, and salads through the crazybowlsandwraps.com website or third-party delivery apps.

“This partnership is the perfect way for us to use our state-of-the-art kitchens and our third-party delivery partners to expand the CBW Brand into the Louisville market without the intensive capital outlay,” Wild Eggs chief executive officer Andy Abbajay said in a statement. “We plan to add a few stand-alone Crazy Bowls locations in the next 12 to 16 months while leveraging our Wild Eggs sites. By bringing Crazy Bowls & Wraps into the mix, we’re offering a whole new dining experience that’s fresh, flavorful, and convenient.”

Crazy Bowls & Wraps was founded in 1994 in the St. Louis metro area and now operates 16 stores serving customizable bowls and wraps. Wild Eggs will leverage the concept’s menu for off-peak hours while maintaining its breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus. The two brands will continue to operate separately and with their own distinct menus.

Miami-based investment group PG Growth Opportunities Fund purchased Wild Eggs from Patoka Capital in early 2023. At the time, the company stated that its goal was to establish a strong regional presence through a core base of franchisees and, ultimately, launch nationwide.

The virtual kitchen expansion follows Wild Eggs’ 2023 announcement of franchising opportunities in eight states, including Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. This merger opens franchising possibilities for Crazy Bowls & Wraps and offers current and prospective Wild Eggs franchisees additional revenue prospects.

Wild Eggs was established in 2007 in Louisville and now includes 16 locations.
