The torrid pace of restaurant openings across the South shows no signs of slowing down. This month brought a flurry of new concepts from seasoned operators.

In Oklahoma City, Michelin-starred chef Jonathan Benno bring his latest concept to a grand hotel in partnership with the hospitality management and development company Apicii. New York-based Major Food Group continues its march toward market domination with the opening of Dirty French in Miami — its fifth concept in the city. Over in Nashville, former Catbird Seat executive chef Ryan Poli infuses new life into The Bobby hotel’s dining scene, and chef RJ Cooper just debuted an ambitious reservation-only tasting menu experience.

In Dallas, chef-owned Fiatto brings Italian fare to casual, Mediterranean-inspired digs in the West Village neighborhood. And New Orleans diners can now enjoy a family-run pizza joint that pairs its wood-fired pies with spritzes and natural wines.

These are six compelling restaurants that recently opened across the South.
