The new year is picking up right where 2022 left off, as restaurants continue to spring up across the country. That includes in the South, where major markets are welcoming new concepts from established hospitality groups and upstart chefs alike. These range from casual neighborhood spots to grand supper clubs and everything between.

The ever-hot Texas restaurant scene keeps on churning, with a host of compelling new restaurants throughout the state. Three at the top of our radar are Quarter Acre, a chef-led homage to seasonality in Dallas; upscale Italian restaurant 61 Osteria in Fort Worth; and Graffiti Raw, which embraces California cuisine and culture in Houston.

Over in Miami, Queen Miami Beach is a multi-level supper club in the iconic Paris Theater with a menu channeling a modern Japanese grill. And in Atlanta, diners can now visit Alici, a Mediterranean restaurant serving oysters, seafood and pasta.

Read up on these five buzzy new restaurants in the south.
