Meet Neat Burger, the vegan burger concept backed by actor/environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, which has entered the New York City market with a brand-new pop-up. The company is launching its first brick-and-mortar in the Manhattan neighborhood Soho later this year, with two more locations planned. That’s on top of 10 to 15 virtual or ghost kitchens that will be in operation by the end of the year.

Globally, the company is hoping to reach 42 units by the end of the year (up from nine currently), 436 by the end of 2026 and 1,000 by 2030, primarily company-owned.

The company has launched a Series B fundraise primarily with U.S. investors following a $70 million funding round last year led by SoftBank’s Rajeev Misra. Strategic investors include DiCaprio and race car driver Lewis Hamilton, who both serve as ambassadors to raise brand awareness.

The core plant-based smashburger is priced at $11.99, with fries at $3.99 and a hot dog at $9.99. The hot dog is not yet available in the U.S., only available in the U.K.

Check out more from CEO Zack Bishti in the video above and vote on LinkedIn or Instagram for which concept you think is going to be the first national plant-based concept.
