With all the choices of fillings and flavors, it’s almost a shame to limit National Taco Day, October 4th, to one 24-hour period.  Tokio Pub in Schaumburg, IL, will be celebrating by offering Taco Time for 10½ hours straight. Chefs Phu Lu and Naoki Nakashima have created a special taco for the day—The Angry Chicken Taco featuring braised organic chicken and kimchee. Among the restaurant’s specialties are Asian-inspired tacos featuring house-made corn tortillas.

With their all-day, across-the-menu appeal and adaptability to global flavors, tacos are a natural for promotions. You’ve still got a few weeks to put together your own National Taco Day menu, but here are a half-dozen ideas to get you started.
