Yield: 12 servings.

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/3 cups warm water
1/4 cup blackberry or raspberry preserves
2 qt. Dole® Fresh Frozen Blackberries or Mixed Berries, thawed
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Combine sugar, water and preserves in bowl, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Purèe blackberries or mixed berries with lemon juice in blender. Force through fine strainer to remove seeds. Discard seeds. Blend berry juice and sugar mixture. Chill for several hours until cold. Prepare sorbet using ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions.
