The everything bagel was once relegated to delis and bagel shops, but its classic flavor profile of poppy seeds, toasted sesame seeds, garlic, onion and coarse salt now flavors everything from hummus dips to pita chips. Nearly 40 percent of consumers have tried everything bagel flavor, and about half are interested in trying it, according to Datassential.

Here’s where everything-bagel flavor is popping up around the restaurant world:

Talde in Brooklyn, N.Y., offers a side dish of Everything Roti Bread.
• Mott Street in Chicago serves chicken wings flavored with an everything bagel spice blend. The crispy wings are glazed with soy, jaggery and dried chilis; tossed with sesame, poppy seed and fried shallots; and served with tzatziki.
• Last year, Kossar’s Bagels & Bialy in New York City partnered with ice cream purveyor Ice & Vice on the Everything Black ice cream sandwich consisting of two black-and-white cookies with a filling of vanilla ice cream coated in everything bagel seasoning.
