This large citrus fruit is native to Southeast Asia and comes in a range of colors from pale green to yellow. Beneath its extra-thick rind, yellow, pink or reddish flesh with giant pulp can be found inside. Pomelos taste similar to grapefruit, but are sweeter and less bitter. They can be found in beverage applications like juices, shrubs and cocktails, or adding a bit of brightness to salads and light proteins. You can use pomelo anywhere you would use other citrus.
