President Joe Biden’s administration and many states are intensifying their COVID-related workplace and workforce health and safety efforts. For this week’s episode of the Working Lunch podcast, the team from Align Public Strategies sought out counsel from Ed Egee, the vice president of government relations & workforce development at the National Retail Federation to sort it all out. They also discuss other pressing issues for the industry in Washington, D.C.

Speaking of pressing issues, the Democratic leadership in the U.S. House introduced their legislation increasing the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2025, indexing it to inflation thereafter and eliminating the tip credit.
