On the heels of more states legalizing CBD in recent years, it’s increasingly being seen on restaurant menus in everything from alcoholic drinks to donuts. CBD, or cannabidiol, does not make someone who consumes it high, but it is believed to relieve anxiety and stress, and touts other health benefits. Most consumers (71%) know it, and two-thirds (67%) of those who have tried it say they like it or love it, according to market research firm Datassential’s consumer preferences tool, highlighting how public opinion — and exploration — of CBD has grown into the mainstream.
Datassential reports that CBD oil is found on 0.6% of U.S. menus, up 328% over the past four years.
