Growing up in Cleveland Ohio, Jason's career in hospitality began at 14 as a cashier for Burger King. Since then, managing a variety of venues, including fast food to full service restaurants has provided him the opportunity to participate in shaping multiple experiences.
As a wine enthusiast, Jason has helped develop wine lists for Mastro’s, Craft, Cube, Umami Burger and smoke.oil.salt. His progressive ideas on operations, service and hospitality have created innovative and personable training programs for multiple national companies.
A degree in Psychology helped shape Jason's management style, focused on understanding and appealing to the core of human nature.
As the GM of Cube in Los Angeles, Jason helped restructure a style of service and company culture that received rave reviews from the Los Angeles Times.
Spending nearly 2 years as a Vice President for Umami Burger, he oversaw the opening of 10 locations and the implementation of scalable operations.
In the year and a half since Jason set out to consult on growing brands, he has become a partner in the acclaimed smoke.oil.salt, assisted in 7 new restaurant openings, completed his book on managing a healthy company culture, and is currently building ActiveHospitality - a platform to ensure all restaurants have the support and cost-effective tools to open strong and succeed.
