Michel Richard Cashing in on Bar Foods

With a lengthy bar menu and two daily happy hours, the new Central Michel Richard in Las Vegas is betting that its extensive bar will pull in hungry and thirsty gamblers, as well as night owls looking for a deal.

The 300-seat spot, which debuted two months ago inside Caesars Palace, is open round the clock. During the two happy hours (2-4 a.m. and 2-4 p.m.), visitors get 24 percent off all food items on the bar menu and two-fer draft beers from Central’s deep selection. The bar menu lists dishes like a bacon and onion tart, deviled eggs, cheese puffs, beer-battered onion rings, sliders and the like. Bar food choices are regularly priced from $6 to $15.

Given the alternative options for satisfying middle-of-the-night munchies, odds are that Central will do a brisk trade. Central claims to be the first-ever restaurant by a James Beard Award-winning chef to be open 24/7.
