1⁄2 cup cream cheese
1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
as needed, Torani Basil Pure Flavor
(begin with 1 to 2 tsp. and adjust
flavor to taste)
as needed, basil cream cheese mixture
2 whole wheat bread slices
as needed, fresh ripe tomatoes, sliced and marinated in garlic and balsamic vinegar
as needed, sliced bacon, cooked crisp
as needed, butter leaf lettuce
For Basil Spread: Blend ingredients together; refrigerate.
For sandwich: Layer Basil Spread on two whole wheat bread slices. Top one slice with drained tomatoes, bacon and lettuce. Top with second bread slice. Halve sandwich and plate.
