Hope on the Horizon?

Is consumer caution finally relaxing when it comes to spending in restaurants? According to research firm ChangeWave, the decline of consumer spending has leveled off based on previous surveys conducted during a 16-month downward spiral. Still, you may want to hold off on that dining room addition you were planning. According to its survey, 34 percent of respondents say they will likely dine out less frequently over the next 90 days. Not good until you consider that 40 percent said the same thing in November. Before you get on a ledge consider this: 38 percent of survey respondents said they’ll be spending more each month in restaurants once the economy improves. Hey, this can’t last forever, can it?
