Lane is a 31-year veteran of the restaurant industry, and is the President and CEO of Boston Market, the 500+ unit originator and leader of the home meal replacement segment. Prior to his appointment to Boston Market he served on several restaurant and restaurant technology corporate boards, including P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Famous Dave’s, where he was acting-CEO during early 2008. He eats in 600 restaurants per year. He was with Brinker International from 1988-1999, serving on their board and as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. From 1996-1999 he was the President and CEO of Eatzi’s Market and Bakery, a joint venture between concept creator Phil Romano and Brinker International that pushed the boundaries of the home meal replacement segment with its on-site crew of 70 chefs, bakers and pastry chefs in each location. Prior to Brinker International Lane was Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning for
S & A Restaurant Corp., and was with S & A from 1978-1988. S & A operated the Steak & Ale and Bennigan’s chains, in addition to other emerging brands. |
