Three Chicago establishments are marking the occasion with indulgent beverages:

The Pink Stiletto at Old Town Pour House combines combines 1 Tbsp. strawberry purée, ½ oz. house-made ginger beer, 4 oz. Riesling, ½ oz. lemonade, ½ oz. soda water in a mixing tin; the mix is poured over ice in a teardrop glass, topped with lemonade and soda water and garnished with a lemon wedge.

Pour ingredients into a mixing tin and shake. Pour over ice in a teardrop glass. Top with lemonade and soda water. Garnish with a lemon wedge. Price: $10.

 

 

The Boundary’s creation, the American Hustle, is a mix of ¾ oz. St Germain and 3 oz. Ensemble White Blend, topped with soda water and garnished with a lemon twist.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the SideDoor, the Smoked Negroni consists of 1 oz. Aperol, 1 oz. Few Barrel Aged Gin and 1 oz. Punt e Mes, all combined in a beaker with ice, then poured over a smoked ice cube (made from water smoked in-house with hickory chips). A lemon peel is stuck between the ice cube and the glass, which adds another aromatic to the drink.
