Black Forest Martini
From: Sara Welch, Bistro Aix, Jacksonville, FL. This recipe won first prize in the 2008 Dole Raises the Bar Beverage Competition, in the dessert drink category. Yield: 1 serving.
3 oz. Dole® Fresh Frozen Dark Sweet Cherries, thawed and pureed
2 oz. brandy
1 oz. chocolate syrup
.5 oz. vanilla extract
for garnish, chocolate shavings to rim the glass
Combine cherry puree, brandy, chocolate syrup and vanilla extract in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into martini glass rimmed with chocolate shavings.
